At Springburn Shopping Centre, we’re participating in this year’s Autism Hour. This will take place on the 6th – 13th October between 10am to 11am daily.

There are 700,000 people in the UK with autism and 64% say they avoid shopping centres because it’s overwhelming. An estimated 5,000 shops and businesses will be involved and we’re delighted to be making the change too.

Autism Hour – Everyone Is Welcome

During autism hour we will be making changes throughout the centre which will include:

• Dimming the lights
• Keeping noise to a minimum and not making any unnecessary announcements
• Stopping as much site maintenance as possible
• Informing staff so they are aware and can make necessary changes
